A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a natural tooth or dental implant to restore its shape, size, appearance, and strength. Crowns are recommended for patients who have a substantial tissue loss on a tooth, following a root filling and broken tooth.
You will require two visits to the practice for the construction and fitting of the crown. On the first visit the dentist will take an impression of your bite for crown fabrication.

The impression will then be sent to a lab to create your customised crown using porcelain prosthetics this normally takes 14 days. After 14 days you will need to arrange an appointment for the fitting and adjustments of the crown to your bite.
